Finnish Short Film to be screened in New Delhi on 19 & 20 December

The Finnish Film Foundation has compiled a Collection of Finnish Short Films to be showcased abroad to celebrate Finland’s 100 years of Independence. The Embassy of Finland in New Delhi has the pleasure to introduce the collection to the Indian audience. The collection, comprising of 20 short films, is being displayed at India Habitat Centre on 19-20 December.

Time: 19 and 20 December, 7 pm
Venue: Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi
Entry: free

The films cover different themes including political issues, nature and multiculturalism, and range in style from drama to comedy and animation. The stories don’t shy away from childhood and teenage issues, struggles of growing up, loss and grief – but there is a lot of humor as well.

We hope this collection gives an idea of the new filmmakers in Finland; what drives them, and why they choose to tell their stories. Take a dive into the colourful world of today’s Finnish short movies!
