The Agreement affects the social security of people moving between Finland and India and applies in particular to pensions. It enables preventing double pension contributions, which is important for Finnish companies operating in India and the staff employed by them. The Agreement complements the already comprehensive contractual relationship between the Governments of Finland and India. The Indo-Finnish business community in India was informed about the Agreement at an event organized at the Residence of Ambassador Hakala the same evening.
