Finland Present at the World Federation of the Deaf and Education International Conferences held in South Africa
Two major conferences were held in South Africa in July. The first one was the 16th World Federation of the Deaf Conference, between the 18th and 24th of July in Durban. The second one was the Educational International Conference, which was held between the 22nd and 26th of July in Cape Town.

Finland to Support a South Centre Climate Change Project
Finland has agreed to fund a three-year South Centre climate change project with Euro 200 000. The name of the project is Enhancing the Capacity of Developing Countries to Undertake Climate Related National Actions and to Engage in Global Change and Sustainable Development Processes and Discussions.

Finland to Finance an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Conference Held by UNHCR and ECOWAS in July
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and UNHCR are holding the first ministerial conference on humanitarian assistance and internal displacement in West Africa. The conference will be held in Abuja, Nigeria, between the 5th and 7th of July, 2011. Finland is financing the whole 420 000 USD conference.

A total of 23 Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences have taken part in a wide-ranging international survey on how satisfied international degree students and exchange students are with their educational experience in Finland.
