Permanent Mission of Finland in Geneva is looking for an assistant

The Permanent Mission of Finland in Geneva is looking for an assistant for the period 1.9.2024-31.7.2026 or by agreement.

The assistant acts as part of the administrative team of the Permanent Mission. Main tasks include:

- coordination and arrangements of the events of the Permanent Mission,

- preparations for meetings and contacts with cooperation partners, including correspondence and Note Verbals,

- preparations for visits,

- participation in the communications team and deputy for the Communications Officer of the Permanent Mission during his/ her absence,

- other duties assigned by the superior in the Permanent Mission.

Requirements

The working languages of the mission are Finnish, English and French. Good written and oral English skills and good written and oral Finnish or French skills are required. Experience in foreign service or international organizations is an advantage. We expect initiative, good cooperation and flexibility, as well as suitable training (e.g. assistant, management assistant). The work requires expertise in Windows and MS programs.

The person selected for the position is hired on the terms of a local employee, Swiss law will be applied. An applicant nominated for the position may be subject to a personal security clearance with the applicant's consent (Act on Security Clearances 726/2014, Finland). Detailed information on the security clearance procedure and the rights of the object of the clearance at supo.fi.
