The Embassy of Finland in France is seeking to recruit a full-time Chef for the Ambassador, whose tasks include the planning and implementation of high-quality events that vary from small meals to formal dinners and receptions.
Main responsibilities
Designing creative and innovative menus for official functions, reflecting Nordic and Finnish food heritage and culture
Implementing different meals while keeping in mind environmental responsibility
Running the kitchen with a full compliance of professional health and safety regulations
Sourcing and purchasing high-quality supplies and equipment for the kitchen and maintaining them
Essential requirements
Professional training, a diploma in culinary arts
Previous experience as a Chef (demanding tasks)
Availability for flexible working hours depending on event requirements
Experience in planning meals and organizing large events
Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively as a part of a team as well as under pressure
Good written and oral communication skills in English, despite one’s native language
The person selected for the post will be subject to the terms and conditions of locally hired personnel, under the French labour law. The probationary period is one month and the working time is 35 hours per week.
