Foreign Minister Tuomioja on an official visit to Norway

Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja is undertaking an official visit to Norway on 14-15 April. He will meet with the Norwegian Foreign Minister Jan Petersen and Kjell Magne Bondevik, Prime Minister of Norway as well as with members of the Norwegian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. Topics of discussion will include relations with Russia, the Northern Dimension, current international and security policy issues, UN reform, the Nordic Saami Convention and the Helsinki Process. During the visit the agreement on security of supplies between Finland and Norway will be signed. The festivity of all high-level meetings in 2005 is heightened by the 100th anniversary of Norway as an independent state.
