Identification of student applicants will be temporarily prioritized from 1st July onwards at VFS Abu Dhabi
In order to facilitate swift identification process and to make sure all student applicants are able to begin their studies in Finland on time, identification of student applicants will be prioritized from 1st of July onwards.
Key points of the new temporary policy
- The main applicant (student) should book the identification appointment at VFS before the accompanying family members.
- From 1st of July onwards, family members accompanying student applicants are not identified together with the student applicants, unless the family members have booked their appointment under the family ties category and the booking is for the same date with the main applicant.
- Family members of waitlisted student applicants should make sure they have booked the identification appointment under the family ties category. Kindly note that underage children do not need an appointment, they can come with the parent who has made an appointment under family ties category.
- It is not possible for the accompanying family members to have the identification appointment together with the main applicant.
- If the appointment is booked under student category, cancel your booking and book new appointment in family ties category to enter the waitlist again. For a service fee refund please complete the form available on the VFS website (https://services.vfsglobal.com/are/en/frp/refund-policy(Link to another website.)) and upload the original appointment, proof of appointment cancellation, as well as the newly booked appointment for references.
This new policy is in force until further notice. The purpose of these changes is to ensure that the student applications can be processed as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this.
