Finnish Business Delegation Meets Turkish Contractors in Ankara and Istanbul
On April 24-26, 2024 Business Finland and Finnvera led a business delegation of 25 participants from Finnish industry to Ankara and Istanbul to meet with leading Turkish contractors who are active in international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) led infrastructure projects abroad. The busy program included one-on-one meetings a seminar with Turkish Contractors Association (TCA), and a reception hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Ankara.

Business Finland and the Finnish Export Credit Agency Finnvera help Finnish companies to participate in and win international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) led infrastructure projects abroad. We connect global EPCs seeking advanced technology solutions with Finnish suppliers and offer Finnish Export Credit Financing solutions. We focus on major global projects aligned with the relevant Finnish expertise. As the Finnish Export Credit Agency, Finnvera can participate in the financing by insuring the Finnish exports to the project. Finnvera's participation in the financing enables Finnish suppliers to bid to the EPC contractors.
TURKISH CONTRACTORS ARE MARKET LEADERS
Turkish contractors have played very important roles in global construction industry. In the period of 1972-2022 they have successfully undertaken 11.605 projects in 133 countries, with a total value of 472 billion USD. In 2023, Türkiye maintained its second place in the "World's Top 250 International Contractors List" with 40 companies. Turkish contractors are looking for suppliers of high technology for projects in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia in the sectors of airport, railway and ports.
