Circular Economy Week of Türkiye to be held from November 7-9

The Embassy of Finland in Ankara is joining forces with industry actors to promote circular economy's adoption in Türkiye.

DCube Circular Economy for Sustainability (DCube), Business for Goals Platform (B4G) and Business Council for Sustainable Development Türkiye (BCSD Türkiye) have come together to organize the Circular Economy Week of Türkiye for the third time running. The third Circular Economy Week’s purpose is to disseminate knowledge about circularity in multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral manner. It will take place from November 7-9. Registrations are currently open.

The event is further supported by the Embassy of Finland in Ankara, Business Finland and the Istanbul Chamber of Industry.

Through a renewed focus on the climate change agenda, Türkiye needs to accelerate market reforms by enhancing private sector-civil society engagement and implementing a “Green Agenda” to address environmental issues. This approach benefits the health and well-being of its citizens, but also makes the region more attraction for investments. This allows Türkiye to tap into the significant economic potential represented by green grown and the circular economy.

The Circular Economy Week focuses on increasing circularity by raising awareness of the concept of circular economy and its applications and the benefits offered by green technology solutions; accelerating Türkiye’s transition from conventional production to a circular model; increasing the capacity to improve solution designs and related policies; and facilitating value chain restructuring in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Circular Economy Week of Türkiye will host discussion sessions, sectoral talks, panel discussions, good case presentations and B2B networking opportunities. Themes include COP 28, sustainable manufacturing, decarbonizing the industries, sustainable materials, twin transition, circular business models, green procurement, circular supply chains and eco-industrial parks.

The event will be held in Istanbul and Ankara from November 7-9. You can register for the event here.(Link to another website.)
