100 years of friendship celebrated at Mizzi Mansion, Büyükada, Istanbul

The building, originally built in 1860, has served as both a private mansion and a luxury hotel in the past. The Mansion has been declared a 1st grade national heritage site in Türkiye. In its restoration process, traditional materials have been utilized, and traditional construction methods have been respected.

A reception hosted by H.E. Ambassador Pirkko Hämäläinen and Mr. Janne Rauramo, Chairman of the Board of Mizzi Köşkü Turizm İşletmeleri AS, gathered together business people, local politicians, and other dignitaries to enjoy the magical venue and evening.

Former Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Mr. Ville Skinnari, was the Guest of Honor. He arrived from Helsinki to admire the Mansion. In his speech, he highlighted the strong trade relations between our countries as well as the opportunities that bilateral trade and investments can offer.

Besides the beautiful evening at Mizzi Mansion, the Finnish delegation had successful meetings with business representatives from Finnish companies, the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), TÜSİAD, UN representatives, and Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

The Embassy of Finland in Ankara would like to thank all the organizers and attendees of the events!
