It is time to report on how the commitments made at the Baltic Sea Action Summit, held in February 2010 in Helsinki, have progressed so far. The Summit was a tip of an iceberg in the work for the Baltic Sea. The Baltic Sea Action Group (BSAG) continues the process.

Do you have plans to move back to Finland?
Are you a native Finn? Do you live abroad permanently? Now you have a chance to take part in a survey which maps out the overseas Finns’ and their children’s perceptions of Finland as well as their possibilities and interests towards moving to Finland. The research concentrates on second and third generation Finnish immigrants living in EU countries, as there are no previous surveys of these particular groups.

We are well acquainted with the design pedigrees of our kitchen cupboards, stocked with Arabia tableware and Iittala glassware that we use on a daily basis. Alvar Aalto's Savoy vase is often placed on the table for special occasions.

The search for the winner of the 2012 Millennium Technology Prize has begun
Technology Academy Finland is now requesting nominees for the 2012 Millennium Technology Prize. Awarded every second year, the Prize is given to a technological innovation which significantly improves the quality of human life and supports sustainable development. Nominations will be accepted until 31 July 2011.
