Responsibilities of mission

The ambassador of Finland in Israel is Nina Nordström

The Embassy works under the Ministry of Foreign affairs of Finland. Some of its main purposes are to advance the national interests of Finland in Israel and to oversee the benefits and rights of the Finnish citizens in Israel. The Embassy takes care of the diplomatic relations between Finland and Israel by keeping in contact with the Israeli government and authorities. Finland develops its relations to Israel both bilaterally and as a part of the EU.

We make Finland known in Israel by organizing events in cooperation with locals. Our goal is also to advance trade and investments. We help Finnish companies to find their ways to the Israeli market and to connect with local partners via the Team Finland –network.

The Consular Services help Finnish citizens living in Israel in issues regarding for example passports, registering, official certificates and military services.

Finland supports the Middle East peace process and the two state solution in order to obtain a permanent peace and well-being to the region.
