Visa and residence permit services at the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi

The Embassy of Finland and its visa application centre in New Delhi are accepting residence permit applications and Schengen visa applications. VFS Global centres in Mumbai and Chennai will start accepting Schengen visa applications from 1.3.2022.

When applying for a residence permit, applicant first has to submit an application on Enter Finland. When it’s the applicant’s turn to receive an appointment, the embassy will be in contact with the applicant directly via their email address on Enter Finland. There are hundreds of applications in the queue, and the embassy cannot estimate, when an individual applicant will receive their appointment.

Fully vaccinated customers from certain applicant categories can submit Schengen visa applications with a scheduled appointment at the Finland Visa Application Centre in New Delhi, and from 1.3.2022, in Mumbai and Chennai.

Embassy has no control over when individual applicants will receive their visa appointments. Appointments are made directly with VFS, and applications are continued to be accepted in a restricted capacity.  The embassy is not able to give more appointment slots than it can process applications per day.

VFS Global will take in applicants as per the COVID-19 regulations and safety protocols in India.
