Verification of Srilankan and Bangladeshi documents required from 3rd of November onwards in VFS New Delhi

For residence permit application you will be required to legalize official certificates concerning family ties, such as birth and marriage certificates and bachelorhood/spinsterhood certificates if they are of Srilankan or Bangladeshi origin. If the documents are not in Finnish, Swedish or English, they must be accompanied by a translation into one of these languages by an authorized translator. Both the original documents and their translations must be legalized.

The Embassy of Finland can only legalize original documents which have first been legalized (authenticated) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin of the document. Both the original document and the translation must be legalized and the fee will be charged for both documents. VFS Global investigates and verifies the origin of the document(s). VFS Global charges the applicant a fee for the verification of a document. Please see the instructions and the service fee on the website. The customer is liable for all verification charges. Applicants can submit their documents for verification online at VFS online portal https://finlandverification.vfsglobal.com/login/customer. After verification process is complete you can submit your documents for legalization.
