Finnish Film Boy Upside Down’ in India, celebrating 20 years of European Film Festival

Finnish Film ’Boy Upside Down’ is one of the 21 award-winning latest European films is getting screened in India for celebrating the 20th year of the European Film Festival.  The Film Festival is in Coimbatore from 8-18 July and Jodhpur from 10-24 July.

Synopsis of the Film:

The film is about Oliver (Esa Nikkilä), an 11-year-old boy, who loses his parents in a car

 accident. He refuses to mourn and instead starts investigating the cause of the accident. As he investigates, he meets Joonas (Kari Hietalahti), an alarm system salesman, and an unexpected friendship evolves. Over one summer Oliver gets to know two extraordinary older men, Jaakko (Esko Salminen) and Rafu (Sulevi Peltola), who run an old cinema together. Despite the film’s gloomy starting point, Boy Upside Down is a warm and positive survival story full of quick twists and turns, and proof that life goes on, even though sometimes the going gets tough.
