Ukrainian Foreign Minister Boris Tarasjuk to Finland

Boris Tarasjuk, the Foreign Minister of the new Ukrainian government appointed on 4 August, visits Helsinki on Wednesday 30 August. Tarasjuk will hold talks with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja on current affairs concerning the relations between the EU and Ukraine as well as bilateral issues. Tarasjuk will also meet members of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee. Tarasjuk's visit prepares ground for the future meetings between the EU and Ukraine during the Finnish presidency. The EU-Ukraine Summit will be held in Helsinki in late October 2006.
