Finland and Taiwan

Taiwan is a major economic player in East Asia. Finland maintains bilateral economic and trade relations, and promotes cooperation in the fields of technology, research and culture with Taiwan.

Following its one-China policy, Finland does not have diplomatic relations with Taiwan (Republic of China). Internationally, there are different formulations of Taiwan’s name. The government of Finland uses the name Taiwan.

Finland Trade Center in Taipei and Taipei Representative Office in Helsinki, respectively, manage official contacts between the public authorities in Finland and Taiwan.
