Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will host North Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani in Finland on 27 October.

Foreign Ministers Elina Valtonen and Bujar Osmani.

The foreign ministers will talk about bilateral matters, EU enlargement, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, and topical NATO questions.

“I am pleased to welcome North Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani to Helsinki. We met recently in connection with the high-level week of the UN General Assembly. Our cooperation has become deeper as we are working together in the OSCE Troika and as Finland is preparing for its OSCE Chairmanship in 2025. Finland and North Macedonia have excellent bilateral relations and they will become even stronger now that we are NATO Allies. We are both strongly committed to supporting Ukraine for a long time,” says Foreign Minister Valtonen.

While in Finland, Foreign Minister Osmani will also meet Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho.
