Bright spring for dance in Finland
As spring sun threatens to arrive and melt the snow in Finland, a range of small but noteworthy dance companies is showing off Finnish choreographic talent. One of them, Susanna Leinonen Company, celebrates its tenth anniversary with a piece called Blinded Mind (article includes video clip).

Thirty talented teenagers from 22 countries selected for the 2011 Millennium Youth Camp
The 30 young people who will participate in the 2011 Millennium Youth Camp (MY Camp) to be held in Helsinki in June have now been selected. One hundred 16-19-year-olds were selected for the second round from a total of 1443 applications, and the final participants were chosen using a challenging selection process.

International Year of Forests 2011 - Youth gather in Joensuu in September
The year 2011 was declared the International Year of Forests by the United Nations. In Finland ENO Programme association will organise a global conference for pupils, teachers and people interested in forests. Act Now! Forests For Future will take place on 13-17 September 2011 in the city of Joensuu, Finland. Participants will learn about Finnish education and schools, visit the Koli National Park and plant trees.
