The Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu is looking for a Housemaid / Cleaner to start working in May 2026. The vacancy is for two years. The first six (6) months are a probationary period.
Duties will include:
- Housekeeping and cleaning of the Ambassador’s Residence
- Laundry washing and ironing
- Waitering at luncheons, dinners, receptions and other functions
- Helping with kitchen duties
- Taking care of the cleaning equipment and taking stock of cleaning supplies
- Other duties assigned by the supervisors
Requirements:
- Experience in professional cleaning; preferably 5 years of previous experience as a housemaid, of which min. 3 years in an international organization or an Embassy or other relevant international employer
- Fluency in English, good communication skills
- At least primary education
- Very good knowledge of cleaning products and different fabrics
- Good health condition is necessary
- Having knowledge of protocol matters is an advantage
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Flexibility in working hours and good time management skills
- Teamwork spirit and service-minded attitude, good co-operation skills.
