Finnish Meteorological Institute Assists Croatia in Air Quality Monitoring

Renowned and Prize Winning Finnish Female Authors Visited Zagreb
Two of the most popular Finnish authors, Ms. Märta Tikkanen and Ms. Sofi Oksanen visited Zagreb on November 26, 2008. During their first visit to Croatia, Ms. Tikkanen and Ms. Oksanen visited the Faculty of Philosophy where they conducted lectures for students of the Finnish and Swedish languages, as well as students of literature.

Human Rights Training for Croatian Judges and Prosecutors
Judges and prosecutors from institutions throughout Croatia had the opportunity to actively participate in two workshops on the theme: European Convention on Human Rights in November 2008 and January 2009. The lectures were conducted by well known human rights experts from Finland, Mr. Martin Scheinin, Professor of Public International Law at the European University Institute and Mr. Tuomas Ojanen, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Helsinki.
