Finland supports ICTY Outreach Programme aimed at young people
The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia has in December launched an outreach project aimed at introducing high school youths in the former Yugoslavia to the work of the Tribunal. Students will also learn about international humanitarian law and post-conflict justice. The project benefits from financial support from the Finnish Government.

Fingerprints to be introduced to residence permits
Finland will introduce biometric residence permit cards at the beginning of 2012. They will replace the residence permit stickers for travel documents. Before submitting your application for a residence permit, please schedule an appointment by contacting the Embassy.

Working hours during Christmas and New Year
The Embassy of Finland will be closed on December 23-30, 2011 as well as on January 6, 2012. Finland is introducing biometric residence permit cards at the beginning of 2012. Therefore, the Embassy will take fingerprints from all applicants who submit their application after January 1, 2012.
