Finnish Parliamentarians Visit Croatia

 

Members of the Finnish-Croatian Inter-Parliament Friendship Group visited Croatia from September 27-29 and met with their partners from the Croatian-Finnish Friendship Group to discuss cooperation between the two countries, which was lead by Dr. Vesna Pusic. 

During their first visit to Croatia, delegation members met with Deputy Speaker of the Croatian National Parliament, Zeljka Antunovic to discuss Croatia´s negotiations with the EU and economic issues. 

They also had the opportunity to visit the Primorsko-Goranska county and to meet with Deputy County Prefect, Nada Turina Duric and Deputy Mayor of Opatija, Marija Gasparovic to hear about regional government and international cooperation in Croatia. They also visited the 3. maj shipyard in Rijeka.  The Finnish Parliamentarians also met with returnees in Miksici near Karlovac where they had the opportunity to hear about issues affecting the reintegration of people returning to their homes after the war of the 1990s.
