Innovations and startups for Cyprus

The Embassy of Finland organized together with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce a public discussion ''Innovation and Startups for a United Cyprus''  on Tuesday 12th April.

Mr. Matti Anttonen, Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Affairs MFA Finland, gave an excellent speech on innovation society – prospects for United Cyprus.

Mr. Kasper Suomalainen, COO and Captain for Startup Sauna, held an inspiring presentation on how to build a startup ecosystem.

Expert opinions were as well shared from Cyprus perspective by Mr. Tunç Yalgin/Entrepreneur & investor and Ms. Natalie Masrujeh/Co-founder & CTO of Teach'n go. The event was moderated by Ms. Stavriana Kofteros/Special Entrepreneurship & Development Adviser @DISY/Co-founder Startup Cyprus and Ms. Esra Aygin/freelance journalist for Havadis and Cyprus Weekly.

The event attracted many visitors and offered great opportunity for networking. The atmosphere at the event was very enthusiastic.
