New electronic appointment booking system starting June 2026

The Embassy of Finland in Hanoi will introduce a new electronic appointment booking system starting from June 2026.

In the first phase, identification for residence permit applications and passport services will be included in the electronic booking system.

Schengen visa-related services and appointment bookings will continue to be handled directly by the outsourced service provider VFS, which will be subject to a service charge.

Residence permit appointments:

Tuesday: applications for employed persons and other categories only
Wednesday and Thursday: applications for students only

Appointments booked for the incorrect day do not entitle customers to receive service at the Embassy.

The Embassy opens new appointment slots at regular intervals. Customers must monitor appointment availability themselves in the booking system. The Embassy does not respond to inquiries regarding the release of new appointment slots.
