Responsibilities of the Permanent Delegation

The Permanent Delegation of Finland in Paris is represents Finland in the OECD and Unesco. The Delegation serves the political decision makers and public government of Finland and more broadly the Finnish society as a whole to promote economic and social development and to reach foreign policy objectives.

The Permanent Delegation

  1. provides information  and analysis to policy makers about global developments in the fields covered by these organizations
  2. advances Finland’s political and economic interests and ensures that the work of the organizations reflect Finland’s policy priorities
  3. ensures that the research and analysis done at the OECD and Unesco is effectively disseminated in Finland
  4. contributes to the reform and development of these organizations so that they continue to be important parts of global multilateral governmental cooperation.
