Finnish Government grants consent for Nord Stream’s offshore gas pipeline project
On 5 November 2009, the Government granted consent for Nord Stream AG’s plan to construct an offshore natural gas pipeline system that would traverse the Baltic Sea. Nord Stream will act as the operator of the natural gas pipeline system, which involves two parallel pipelines.

Tarja Turunen performing in Bucharest
Internationally the most well known Finnish female artist, Tarja Turunen, will perform in Bucharest on June. The concert is part of the "Summer Storm 2009" tour, which travels around Europe during the summer. The concert takes place on 22.6.2009 at 8 p.m. at Sala Palatului, which is located at Strada Ion Campineanu nr.8. Embassy of Finland offered tickets to 155 pupils for the movie of Ricky Rapper
Finnish Film, Ricky Rapper, was presented at the European Film Festival in Bucharest 13.5. Embassy of Finland in Bucharest offered the experience of the Finnish film to 155 pupils. The film has won a great success in Finland and bucharestians seemed to like it too. The cinema was full of happy pupils enjoying the film. Two filmgoers, Romanian Andreaa Bacalum and Finnish Linda Mutalahti, tell about their experience.

Finnish Pianist Paavali Jumppanen performing in Constanta and Chisinau
Finnish pianist Paavali Jumppanen is performing on May 20th in Constanta and on May 22nd in Chisinau. The concerts will feature Richard Wagner, Ludvig van Beethoven, Jean Sibelius and Franz Liszt. They are organised by the Embassy of Finland in Bucharest in cooperation with Teatrul National de Opera si Balet "Oleg Danosvki" and Sala cu Orgǎ.

Ricky Rapper presented at European Film Festival
Finnish Film, Ricky Rapper, will be presented at European Film Festival in Bucharest. The European Film Festival will start on Thursday, May 7th 2009, presenting a total of 39 movies from 24 different countries. Tickets in Bucharest are available at Cinema Studio, The museum of the Romanian Peasant's and CinemaPro, where the films will be presented. Ricky Rapper will be screened on 13th May at 6 p.m. at Cinema Studio, located at Bulevardul Magheru Gheorghe 29.
