Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Lehtomäki to St. Petersburg and Pskov

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paula Lehtomäki will on Thursday, 18 May, visit St. Petersburg, where she will open a Finnish language class at the St. Petersburg State University. In the beginning, the class will be equipped with eight computer work stations with software, donated by the Finnish Ministry of Education, as well as demonstration equipment and software of Finnish Sanako Oy.

During her visit, Minister Lehtomäki will meet Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvijenko. The topics of discussion will include, among other things, the current questions related to trade, economy and investment projects in St. Petersburg area.

The Minister's agenda will also include a visit to the University Pharmacy in St. Petersburg.

From St. Petersburg Minister Lehtomäki will continue to Pskov, where she will on Friday, 19 May, participate in a seminar titled "Models for Cross-border Co-operation - focus on the Pskov Region", organised by the Finnish Commission for European Security (STETE).
