Team Finland in South Korea helps Finnish companies to access the Korean market, as well as to tackle emerging challenges when operating in Korea. In addition, we promote Finland and Finnish companies through different channels. By authoritative and expert services we support networking and collaboration between Finnish and South Korean parties. With results-oriented co-operation, we will ensure the high level of Finland’s competitiveness and the positive development of trade between our two countries also in the future.
Market information
Two strongly growing industries in South Korea are the semiconductor and defence industries. The outlook for artificial intelligence has boosted the growth of the Korean semiconductor industry. At the same time, the new Korean Government is investing heavily in AI development. Due to the geopolitical situation, South Korea's strong defence industry has received significant deals around the world, including in Europe. Finland's procurements of K9 artillery from Korea have laid the foundation for deepening cooperation between the two countries in the defence sector.

Finnish honorary consulates
Honorary consulates complement Finland’s network of missions abroad, which consists of embassies, consulates general, consulates and liaison offices. Honorary consuls are private individuals who carry out consular functions on a part-time basis without remuneration. An honorary consul can advise Finnish companies on how to get information on local business culture and find business partners, among other matters.
