South Korea's state visit opened opportunities for further economic cooperation
Bilateral economic consultations between Finland and South Korea were held at the House of the Estates in Helsinki on Thursday 26 September. The consultations covered a wide range of topics and various sectors of trade and economic cooperation between Finland and South Korea. The importance of President Moon Jae-in's state visit to Finland in June 2019 for the trade relations between the two countries was emphasised during the discussions.

The Embassy of Finland is seeking an active and inspired person to join Team Finland and to support the Embassy's functions as Maintenance Person & Chauffeur. The contract will be a fixed-term contract from the beginning of September 2019 (or as agreed) till July 31st 2021. The contract terms are based on Korean Labor Law and the employee is locally hired by the Embassy.

Changes in Finland’s network of diplomatic missions
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is continuing its review of Finland’s network of diplomatic missions in 2013. The changes are driven by the operational budget cuts and the Government programme’s effort to strengthen Finland’s presence in the regions and countries whose importance is growing.
Minister Heidi Hautala to visit Cambodia, South Korea and Nepal
Minister for International Development Heidi Hautala will make a trip to Cambodia, South Korea and Nepal between 26 November and 7 December. During her trip, Hautala will attend the Meeting of the States Parties to the Anti-Personnel Landmine Ban Convention in Phnom Penh and the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan. In addition, she will visit Nepal, Finland’s long-term partner country.
