Responsibilities of mission
The Embassy of Finland is an official representative of the Finnish Government in Iraq. The Ambassador of Finland is Antti Putkonen.
The tasks of the Embassy include:
- negotiating, analysing and reporting on political and economic developments in Iraq to Finland
- enhancing and strengthening trade relations between Finland and Iraq
- assisting Finnish citizens in distress
- Provide information about Finland to Iraqi authorities and citizens
- Increase awareness of Finnish culture in Iraq
