The Embassy of Finland in Dublin has a vacancy for a Driver / Janitor. This is a part-time position (20-30h/week) starting as soon as possible. Application period for the position ends on 13 June 2025.

Place of work: Places of work are Embassy of Finland in Ireland (St. Stephen´s Green, Dublin 2) and the Finnish Ambassador´'s Residence (Ballsbridge, Dublin 4), but work in other locations may be required from time to time.

Main tasks:

  • official driver for Ambassador for all official Embassy engagements
  • driver for other Embassy staff as required
  • responsibility for maintenance of official vehicle
  • updating the vehicle’s logbook on a daily basis
  • messenger and portal duties and running errands for Embassy, incl flag hoisting
  • janitorial tasks and assisting with maintenance issues at Residence and Embassy

Skills required:

  • legal right to live and work in Ireland
  • Garda Vetting
  • excellent proven driving skills
  • fluent spoken and written English essential
  • a strong work ethic, drive and commitment to the role
  • a high level of discretion, commitment and reliability and respect for the confidentiality and integrity of Embassy work
  • ability to work efficiently and in a proactive manner.
  • excellent professional interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team

Additional information:

  • The position is part time (20-30h/week) and will require regular out of hours work in the evenings / at weekends. Hourly wage offered is 18,75€/h.
