A month of music- Finnish conductors Leif Segerstam and Ari Rasilainen perform in Ankara
November was a special month for music lovers in Ankara, as the exceptionally talented Finnish conductors Leif Segerstam and Ari Rasilainen arrived to the city. Both conductors directed The Presidential Symphony Orchestra at the beautiful CSO Ada Ankara, and provided remarkable performances.
Team Finland finishes the race! Embassy of Finland at the 44th Istanbul Marathon
During the first weekend of November, staff members of the Embassy of Finland headed to Istanbul to take part in the 44th Istanbul Marathon. Second Secretary Janne Leskinen and Intern of the Defense Attaché's office Niina Hulkkonen took on the challenge of the full 42.195 km marathon. Receptionist and Clerical Assistant Cemal Akyüz, Assistant of the Defense Attaché Semra Turgutcan, and Political Affairs Intern Mélodie Sinkari faced the 15km run. Team Finland Special Advisor Joona Selin also raced through the 8km track.
Team Finland heads to Eskisehir during ambassador’s first official visit to the city.
As restrictions caused by the pandemic have slowly moved behind us, it was time for Ambassador Mr. Ari Mäki to head to the city of Eskişehir for his first official visit. The two-day long trip included an extensive itinerary, filled with different meetings with important figures of the city, as well as the embassy’s opening of the Mannerheim exhibition at the Atatürk Kültür Merkesi.
Türkiye's Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change visits Finland
Team Finland Türkiye hosted a technical delegation with members from the Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, and Middle East Technical University Department of Environmental Engineering in Finland on September 18-23. The visit program was packed with site visits and meetings, covering a wide array of topics in environmental management, waste management, circular economy, and zero waste.
Finland and Türkiye - 12 years of Peace Mediation Cooperation

Mediation is one of the central tools we have in order to end conflict and improve human security.
