Finland’s new Permanent Representative to the OSCE Outi Hyvärinen presented her credentials

Finland’s Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Ambassador Outi Hyvärinen, presented her credentials to OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu in Vienna on 1 September 2026. They discussed current issues concerning the OSCE. Officials from Finland’s Permanent Mission to the OSCE, Mr Kimmo Laukkanen and Ms Marjo Kaller, were also present.

 

Ms Hyvärinen took up her duties as Head of Finland’s Permanent Mission to the OSCE on 1 September. She comes to Vienna from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where she served as Director of the Unit for Arms Control at the Political Department since 2021. Previously, she served, among other positions, as Deputy Director of the Unit for Security Policy and Crisis Management.

Ms Hyvärinen has previously served at Finland’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels and at the Finnish Embassies in Berlin and Warsaw. She joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1999.
