The first lactose-free product series launched in Nigeria by Finnish company Valio

 Last week, one of the biggest consumer brands in Finland Valio launched their first product in Nigeria. For them, it has been a journey of three years in total in Nigeria, from finding the best distributors to overcoming all regulatory hurdles. Finnish food giant Valio’s global turnover is EUR 1.7 billion.

In Africa, the company focuses on lactose-free products since great many Africans suffer from inability to digest lactose. In Nigeria, Valio is the first company to provide lactose-free milk products for consumers, in the form of milk powders.

On Wednesday, the Ambassador hosted the launch event at his residence in Abuja and opened the event by talking about the clean and healthy food coming from Finland. On Thursday, the products were introduced to another excited audience in Lagos, consisting of health and food professionals and media.

The products are now available now across Lagos and Abuja and online.
