The Time magazine has selected Angry Birds (and other Finnish game Alan Wake) as its 2010 Games of the Year. According the magazine the game is deceptively difficult and incredibly addictive.

In the game players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield.

Angry Birds has been praised for its successful combination of addictive gameplay, comical style and low price. It’s possible to spend hours playing without noticing.

The Finnish company intends to continue to conquer the electronic platform, as in early January the game was released on Apple machines as well as for the Windows 7/XP platform. Games manufacturer Mattel has turned the Finnish Angry Birds game into a board game and it will be launched later this spring.
