Helsinki Process HP+10 Conference streamed live via webcast

The Helsinki Process HP+10 Review Conference will be held on 13-14 February, hosted by co-chairs Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and his Tanzanian colleague Bernard Membe. The conference will assess the outcomes of the process and discuss issues related to the management of globalisation, most notably the management of the global economy and sustainable development.

Keynote speakers at the conference include Asha-Rose Migiro, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Mary Robinson, former President of the Republic of Ireland. Minister for International Development Heidi Hautala will give an introductory talk to the conference panel on sustainable development, and Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja to the panel concentrating on the management of the global economy.

The conference includes a high level segment, with President of the Republic Tarja Halonen reporting to the conference on the results of the UN panel on sustainable development.

With the exception of two panels the conference will be streamed via live webcast; video recordings will be posted on the Ministry website later.

The conference working language is English.
