New Ambassadors to Addis Ababa, Canberra and Nur-Sultan
At the presidential session on Friday 29 May, the President of the Republic appointed new Ambassadors to Addis Ababa, Canberra and Nur-Sultan.
Foreign Ministry’s repatriation flights have ended
The repatriation flights arranged by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs as a result of the COVID-19 crisis have ended. Altogether 16 flights were carried out, with a total of 3,227 tourists returning to Finland or through Finland to their home country in Europe. Around 2,000 of the passengers on the flights were tourists returning to Finland.
CoWASH III extension to support COVID-19 emergency response and resilience building in the WASH sector
Finland has approved an additional extension of the CoWASH III project. The project will continue to contribute to the national objectives in the WASH sector: to improve the health and well-being of the population by increasing access to sustainable and climate resilient water supply and sanitation as well as adopting good hygiene practices. The extension will last until the end of the year 2020 and is worth €2,67 million.
