Ambassador Pekka Voutilainen officially presented his letters of credence to the President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, in a formal ceremony marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Laos.
The ceremony, held in Vientiane, signifies the formal recognition of Ambassador Voutilainen as Finland’s representative to Laos. With the presentation of credentials, he assumes his duties as a non-resident ambassador, concurrently serving as Finland’s Ambassador based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
A Symbolic Diplomatic Milestone
During the meeting, Ambassador Voutilainen conveyed greetings from the President of the Republic of Finland and reaffirmed Finland’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
President Thongloun Sisoulith welcomed the Finnish envoy and acknowledged the positive trajectory of relations between Laos and Finland.
