Prince Mired Bin Raad Bin Zeid Al-Hussein of Jordan visits Finland to discuss the Ottawa Convention

His Royal Highness Prince Mired Bin Raad Al-Hussein of Jordan, President of the Eighth Meeting of the States Parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on Their Destruction (the Ottawa Convention) will visit Finland on 12 November. There are 156 States Parties to the Ottawa Convention; Finland is not among them.

When in Finland, Prince Mired Raad Al-Hussein will meet with Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb, Admiral Juhani Kaskeala, Chief of Defence of the Finnish Defence Forces, Secretary of State Pertti Torstila and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Seppo Kääriäinen. In addition, Prince Mired Raad Al-Hussein will meet with representatives of the Finnish Red Cross and civil society organisations.
