The new edition of the magazine Focus on the Economy and Technology, a joint publication of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Invest in Finland organisation, is now available.

Focus 2006 offers a current, dynamic cross-section of Finland's economic and commercial life and highlights Finland's strengths as an attractive market for foreign investment.

Finland is also showcased as a significant hub linking Europe and Asia. And this year Focus emphasizes Finland's wide-ranging expertise in doing business with Russia, as Editor-in-Chief Juha Parikka of the Ministry for Affairs in Helsinki points out. The arts, too, especially photography, are well represented, says Parikka.

Now in its fourth year of publication, this year's 36-page Focus is available in seven separate language editions, English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese. Distribution of the magazine is taken care of primarily by Finland's embassies around the world.

Focus has generated keen interest abroad and has become a trusted source of information and a valuable medium for promoting Finland as an advanced knowledge-based economy.

Adults Aikuinen advertising agency was responsible for the design and project management of Focus. The contents were managed by Täsmäviestintä Oy.

The Editorial Board consisted of representatives of the aforementioned ministries, Invest in Finland and Finnfacts.
