Finland’s Action Plan for Afghanistan

The President of the Republic and the Cabinet Committee on Foreign and Security Policy adopted Friday (17 April) Finland’s Action Plan for Afghanistan, which is a follow-up to the report on Afghanistan issued in December 2007.

The present action plan sets out a comprehensive framework for Finland’s commitment to the stabilisation and reconstruction of Afghanistan in the coming years. Finland participates in action coordinated by the UN in cooperation with other donors and international actors. Finland makes sustained efforts to reach its objectives through development cooperation, humanitarian aid and military and civil crisis management.
