Ghana Education Minister visits Finland

The Minister of Education of Ghana Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh visited Finland on 4-7 September 2017.  The Minister was in Finland to learn more about the Finnish education system, and to talk about possible cooperation in the area of education.

The Minister of Education of Ghana Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh visited Finland on 4-7 September 2017.  The Minister was in Finland to learn more about the Finnish education system, and to talk about possible cooperation in the area of education. Minister Opoku Prempeh met in Helsinki the Minister of Education of Finland Ms. Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, as well as the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Mr. Kai Mykkänen who will be visiting Ghana later this year with a business delegation. In the discussions, the many possibilities for collaboration were highlighted, including in areas such as vocational education and training and early childhood education.

The Education Minister of Ghana also participated in Helsinki in the first ever Dare to Learn Conference, an innovative, interactive event that gathered together Finnish and international learning enthusiasts, experts and practitioners. The conference is set to be an annual event. The dates for the 2018 conference are 18-19 September.
