World Circular Economy Forum + Climate, 15-16 April 2021
Organised by the Government of the Netherlands and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra
On 15 and 16 April 2021, the Netherlands and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra will welcome representatives of governments, international organizations, knowledge institutes, the private sector, and citizens from around the globe to our virtual conference platform, to digitally meet up and discuss the crucial role of a circular economy in achieving climate neutrality.
World Circular Economy Forum has been organized annually since 2017 and it has become an effective tool for the circular economy development globally. The Government of the Netherlands has participated actively in every Forum and this year the Netherlands host an event together with Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra. The event will be a high-level online conference format with vivid interaction between all stakeholders. The theme of this event is “WORLD CIRCULAR ECONOMIC FORUM plus CLIMATE” as highlighted in the video invitation message by Her Excellency Minister for Environment of the Netherlands - Stientje van Veldhoven:
“Aiming for a circular economy by 2050 is a necessity for climate neutrality. That is why on the 15th and 16th of April the government of the Netherlands and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra are hosting the WCEF+Climate event. A global online event where governments, companies, international organizations and civil society will meet. Only Together we can build the chain to a circular economy, a necessity for climate neutrality by 2050.”
At this occasion H.E. Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam Ms. Elsbeth Akkerman and H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Vietnam Mr. Kari Kahiluoto have a great pleasure to jointly invite all stakeholders from Vietnam to participate and contribute actively to the different sessions of the event. The online event will start on April 15th at 14h45 CET (19h45 Hanoi Time)
