Renewed telephone service hours and updated contact details

As of 01.01.2019 the renewed telephone service hours at the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi are Tuesday to Thursday, from 2pm until 4pm, tel +84 24 3826 6788.

The Embassy receives customers only by appointments. Appointments can be made during the Embassy’s telephone service hours or via email.

The Honorary Consulate General of Finland in Ho Chi Minh City is ending it’s term on 31.12.2018. The Embassy of Finland in Hanoi will publish information regarding the new Honorary Consulate General as soon as possible.

I wish to travel to Finland and the Schengen area, where can I submit my application?

If the length of your travel is a maximum of 90 days, you may apply for a Schengen visa. Visa should be applied from the Schengen member state that is your main destination. If your main destination is Finland, you can submit your application in our Visa Application Centers in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City. My residence permit has been granted, when can I receive my card?

If you have been granted a residence permit, the residence permit card will be delivered to the Embassy of FInland in Hanoi. The delivery time can be between 2-4 weeks. Please do not contact the Embassy to request for your card - the Embassy will be in contact with you as soon as the card arrives. The Embassy is not able to affect the delivery schedule of the residence permit cards.

I have been offered a job as a seasonal worker in Finland, what kind of permit can I apply for?

As a seasonal worker, you may either apply for a seasonal work permit (for seasonal work for 3 to 9 months) or a seasonal work visa (for seasonal work up to 90 days). Seasonal work permits should be applied with the form OLE_TY6 (more information from www.migri.fi(Link to another website.)). For seasonal work visas, kindly contact the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi for further instructions. Please fo note that you need an appoiintment to submit the above mentioned applications.
