Circular economy workshop organized by the Mekong Regional Energy and Environment Partnership Programme (EEP Mekong) on April 24th and 25th 2019 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City respectively. The workshop focused on waste management, including plastic waste and municipal solid waste, and bringing out the business potential in addition to the environmental aspects. Expert and technology presentations were delivered by the Technical Research Center of Finland (VTT), leading waste treatment companies BMH, Valmet, and Watrec from Finland, RE Power from Thailand, and Investment Holding Company Developing Technologies Tan Thanh Phuong from Vietnam. Panel discussion and B2B dialogues showed a growing interest from Vietnamese companies, institution and government agencies in circular economy.
