Embassy of Finland in Hanoi has opened limited reception of permit applications

Finland’s missions abroad, including Embassy of Finland in Hanoi, have opened limited permit services due to the coronavirus pandemic. Residence permit applications can be submitted to the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi with certain limitations. Reception and processing of ordinary visa applications is suspended. Applications for a visa can only be submitted in exceptional cases.

 

​​​​​​​​​​Embassy is able to receive residence permit applications for the following purposes:

 

If you apply for a residence permit in the online service Enter Finland(Link to another website.) or on paper, you have to visit a Finnish mission (embassy or consulate) to prove your identity.

Customer service is open by booking only. If you have submitted a residence permit application and you need to be identified book your appointment through the online service.(Link to another website.) If you wish legalise documents, book your appointment through the online service(Link to another website.). New appointments become available in the appointment system regularly. The Embassy can open only a limited amount of appointment slots. If appointments for a certain period are not yet available, please check again later.

Interviews for residence permit applications are done by the request of the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri). If you have been requested to be interviewed, you must book an appointment for the interview by emailing ​​​​​​​[email protected]. Priority will be given to customers who have booked an appointment for an interview but whose appointment had to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visa applications in exceptional cases can be submitted in limited manner. Schengen visas can only be issued for short-term visits. The criteria for issuing visas have not changed.
