Consulate General of Finland in New York will bring the portable passport unit to Chicago, IL, on November 15-17th, 2021.

Passport applications can be processed only if the applicant possesses their Finnish personal identification number, and when their personal information in the Finnish Population Information System is correct and up-to-date (e.g., name changes and citizenships). 

The applicant shall ensure that their personal information is correct, according to the Population Information Act (661/2009). The information can be checked on the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s website once a year free of charge:
