The new President of the Republic of Finland will be Alexander Stubb
Alexander Stubb has been elected as the new President of the Republic of Finland. The National Coalition Party candidate, Alexander Stubb, is set to assume the presidency on 1 March, defeating independent candidate Pekka Haavisto, who was supported by a voters' association and the Green party. In the second round, Alexander Stubb secured 51.6% of the votes, while Pekka Haavisto received the remaining 48.4%.
An Erasmus+ Student in Eastern Finland
Since 2014 more than 1,100 Turkish students have studied in Finnish higher education institutions taking part in Erasmus+ mobility programs. Songül Düger is one of them. Finland - Türkiye Startup Competition and the winner start-up stories - II
Embassy of Finland in Ankara, together with Business Finland`s Work in Finland launched for the first time “Finland - Türkiye Startup Competition” with an award ticket to Slush 2023, and entry to pre-accelerator program "Building Tomorrow’s Smart City in Finland Capital Region," organized by Business Helsinki, Business Espoo and City of Vantaa. Through the local partners (Bilkent Cyberpark, Hackquarters, KWORKS, ODTU Teknokent, YTU Yıldız Teknopark) and the jury selections, four Turkish startups were the winners of this competition. Finland participates in developing interoperability within border and visa policies to detect multiple identities
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ project on interoperability (the UMPIO project) coordinates the data related to internal security, border security and migration management in the EU information systems for security. The project is part of the development of entry systems funded by the EU.
