Team Finland Türkiye on the road

The last couple of weeks of August were busy with travel, as Team Finland Türkiye headed to Helsinki for the annual Team Finland Day and one-on-one meetings with companies and stakeholders.

 This year is the tenth anniversary of the Team Finland network of public actors helping Finnish companies go international, and the annual Team Finland Day event gathered a full house of ca. 700 participants at Scandic Marina Congress Center. Ambassador Ari Mäki and Commercial Counsellor Joona Selin from Embassy of Finland in Ankara, and Business Finland Istanbul Senior Advisor Nilüfer Alapınar joined the event and speed networking with Finnish companies who were curious to hear the latest updates from the Turkish market. 

 

On August 31, Finland-Türkiye Trade Association organized a seminar at WTC Helsinki. Ambassador Ari Mäki, Commercial Counsellor Joona Selin and Kayseri Honorary Consul Murat Sert shared their insights on Türkiye's current economic environment and opportunities for deepening Finland-Türkiye business relations. Under new leadership of chairman Daniel Vahtera, the FI-TR trade association gathered an active crowd of 20 participants who engaged in an lively discussion with the resource speakers. Particularly, Mr. Sert’s hands-on experience and straight-from-the source information sharing from the private sector were much appreciated.
